Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. respects the privacy of our clients and others who provide personal information to us. Personal information provided to us or which we learn about through our normal process of providing service to clients or others will only be used for the purpose we have identified when obtaining the information. a. Introduction
Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. is committed to protecting and safeguarding the privacy and security of the personal information provided to us by clients and others. Our policy complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the 10 principles of the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information.
By becoming a client, requesting information, purchasing products or services an individual is giving Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. permission to contact him or her by way of the information provided.
During the course of servicing the needs of clients and others we may gather personal information. Anyone from whom we collect such information should know that it will be carefully protected and used only as necessary and as authorized. This policy explains why we may need your personal information, how the confidentiality of this information is protected, and how you can find out what information concerning you is recorded.
b. Personal Information
Personal information is defined as any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual including client and non-client information that pertains to the use of Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. services, credit card information and purchase information, whether provided in writing, orally or by electronic means.
Personal information does not include business contact information (with the exception of email addresses which are considered personal information) and certain publicly available information, such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories (i.e. information on a business card). Most of the information Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. collects is not personal information.
Where an individual uses his or her home contact information as business contact information, Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. considers that the contact information provided is business contact information and is therefore not subject to protection as personal information.

Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. staff receives appropriate training in the protection of personal information.

d. Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. Website
When clients access the secure section of our website, a small text file or “cookie” is sent from our web server to your browser and stored on your computer. Cookies allow us to recognize you while you are logged into the Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. website and expire when you close your browser window. Visitors are given the option to share, as an opt out option is provided.
The Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. website may also log internet provider (IP) addresses of visitors. This information is used, in aggregate form, to provide statistical measures about site usage. 1.1 - Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. is responsible for personal information under our control and we have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. Ontario’ compliance with the Act. There are other individuals within Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. who are designated with the responsibility for day-to-day collection and management of personal information.

For any other purposes as benefits clients and the Association.
2.3 - In the event that Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. is required to use, disclose or collect personal information for a purpose that is not listed above and in respect of which the client or non-client has not previously granted his or her consent, the personal information will not be used or disclosed without first identifying the new purpose and obtaining the client or non-client’s consent, unless otherwise exempted from doing so under the Act.
3. Consent
3.1 - Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. collects personal information by fair and lawful means and obtains the individual’s consent for the collection, use or disclosure of his or her personal information as required by the Act or by law.
3.2 - The consent may be expressed, implied or given through an authorized representative.
3.3 - A client or non-client may withdraw consent to use his or her personal information at any time, subject to any legal or contractual restrictions upon giving Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. reasonable notice. Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. will inform individuals of the implications, if any, of withdrawing consent and how to do so.
4. Limiting Collection
4.1 - Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. limits the collection of personal information to that which is reasonably necessary for the identified purpose(s).
5. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention
5.1 - Little Guys Delivery Service Inc. does not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual, or as permitted or required by law.

Individuals are entitled to check on the accuracy of their personal information and submit a correction request, if necessary.
